Platelet activation
Platelet activation
This short Cinema4D animation visualizes the early stages of haemostasis within a damaged blood vessel. Red blood cells begin to aggregate within the disrupted flow while platelets adhere to the exposed vessel wall. Once attached, the platelets activate and spread across the surface, forming the initial scaffold of a developing clot.
The piece focuses on the spatial relationship between circulating erythrocytes and activated platelets, highlighting how platelet adhesion and aggregation begin to stabilize the site of injury and initiate clot formation.
